Admitted to the Ukrainian Bar. A member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
He has been practising law since 1977. Mr Kubko is one of the founders of the Salkom Law Firm.
Education: Law School of Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University. 1980 – PhD (Law), 1988 – special doctorate training at the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Science (Moscow). 1990 – Doctor of Law. 1990-1991 – a consultant with an Australian law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques (Sydney); 1992-1993 – a member of the special group of lawyers – consultants on CIS countries at the European Commission (Brussels).
Main areas of practice: administrative procedure and administrative justice, privatisation, antitrust law, cross-border transactions, international commercial arbitration, banking and finance law, tax law, law of the European Union.
Ievgen Kubko provides legal advice to major investment projects and trans-national corporations doing business in Ukraine; acts for clients in courts in Ukraine, in international commercial arbitrations and in foreign jurisdictions, and has extensive experience of defending clients before the European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg).
He advises on transactions with securities and corporate rights, and on the matters of finance and banking laws.
He also deals with matters of real property conveyance, acquisition of undertakings, privatisation; provides advice on taxation and customs regulations.
Mr Kubko performs scientific research at the Koretskyy Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. He is a member of several scientific and expert committees.
Mr Kubko acts as an independent adviser to a number of government agencies and the judiciary of Ukraine.
He speaks Ukrainian, Russian and English.
