Ievgen Kubko, President and a Senior Partner in the Salkom Law Firm, Doctor of Law, professor, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, gave a talk at the conference on the matters of the Ukrainian corporate law held in Frankfurt (Germany) on 19 November 2010.
Comparative methods of the German and Ukrainian laws, impact of the reform of the Ukrainian corporate law on investments in Ukraine and practical aspects of the reform were addressed by the conference, which was organised by the Association for German-Russian Economic Law.
Mr Kubko’s report entitled Practical aspects of the reform of corporate law was dedicated to general characteristics of the recent changes in the Ukrainian corporate law and discussed topical court decisions.
The Association was founded in the 1980s by Prof Weller from The Hamburg State University as association of Soviet and German economic Law. Later on, it was renamed the Association for German-Russian economic law. At present, the Association has nearly 200 members, mainly judges, lawyers and law firms as well as professors from all over Germany. The Association regularly organises conferences on various topics of economic law between Germany and the CIS-states, including Ukraine.
