Establishment of Law Firm “Salkom”. The first meeting of the founders of the company was held in December 1990. In accordance with the law of that time, the firm was formed as a small consulting enterprise and joined six practicing lawyers. The firm had set up its first office in a hotel room (Room 606) at the Khreschatyk Hotel located on the central street of Kyiv.
By 1992 the firm “Salkom” had already occupied several hotel rooms, and the next year it opened its office at the business center in the Khreschatyk Hotel.
The firm’s personnel grew over the first years of the Firm’s practice, and large domestic and foreign companies joined its client base.The Scientific-Analytical Centre was founded within the firm.

The firm acquired the office in the building located at 12 Khreschatyk Street. The firm has built an impeccable professional reputation that resulted in the constant growth of client base. The Firm has always ranked at the top of law firms lists.
In October 2003, the office of Salkom Law Firm was located on two floors constructed by the firm in a building at 12 Khreshchatyk Street, located in the central historical part of Kyiv between Independence Square and European Square. The company consists of more than 30 lawyers and 6 partners. The same year, the European Court of Human Rights ruled in the Sovtransavto Holding v. Ukraine case, which held Ukraine liable for violations of the Convention, and the applicant, Sovtransavto Holding, was awarded compensation for the sustained losses. The interests of Sovtransavto Holding were counseled by the Salkom Law Firm.
In spring of 2017, the Salkom Law Firm team provided comprehensive legal support for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Ukraine. The company continues active work with small and medium-sized businesses. Over more than 25 years of its presence on the market of legal services the Firm has evolved and expanded into a large firm and has undergone various changes, including changes in personnel (including its partners), in the size and equipment of the office, but the strategy of dynamism, complex approach to clients’ needs, team work, strict confidentiality, professionalism and top quality of legal services has always been the constant.
